About PUSH Uganda Initiative

PUSH Uganda Initiative is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organisation dedicated to reducing poverty, improving health, and creating sustainable opportunities for vulnerable communities.

We work alongside local communities to provide access to education, clean water, healthcare, vocational training, and livelihood support. Through community-led initiatives, we empower young people, women, children, and disadvantaged families to build brighter, more self-reliant futures.

Our work is guided by five key strategic pillars

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

Access to clean water and proper sanitation is essential for healthy communities.  Providing clean water through borehole drilling, well rehabilitation, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education.

Education and Vocational Skills Training

We believe education and practical skills create pathways out of poverty. We support vulnerable children through educational programmes while providing vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, carpentry, masonry, mechanics, driving, welding, baking, and other income-generating skills.

Agriculture and Food Security

Helping farmers improve productivity through seeds, tools, livestock, and climate-smart farming techniques.

Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment

Our programmes help individuals and families develop sustainable sources of income through small business support, market access opportunities, vocational training, and targeted assistance for vulnerable households.

Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA)

We help communities establish self-managed savings groups that promote financial inclusion, encourage saving habits, provide access to small loans, and strengthen economic resilience.

Additional Areas of Support

 PUSH Uganda Initiative also delivers:

Child sponsorship and educational support programmes.

Community health and HIV/AIDS awareness initiatives.

Cancer and orthopaedic patient welfare support.

Our Commitment

We are committed to building stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities by working directly with local people to create lasting solutions that address poverty, inequality, and limited access to essential services.

Together, we are creating opportunities, restoring hope, and empowering communities to thrive.
